Colyford Cottages is group of three attractive holiday cottages, converted from a former dairy and cider press, all with a light and airy feel and located in the pretty village of Colyford, close to the Jurassic coast. Sleeping 10 people this complex is ideal for family gatherings and reunions where guests can get together but also enjoy their own space if required. : Colyford  village is about a mile and a half from the seafront at Seaton and the pretty harbour at Axmouth and midway along the main coast road between the lovely seaside resorts of Lyme Regis and Sidmouth.  The cottages have been sympathetically restored with oak-beamed ceilings and attractive oak floors.  The open-plan living areas make excellent use of the space with large comfortable sofas, dining tables and modern fitted kitchens as well as a wood burner in the Old Cider Press where all guests can meet to enjoy meals and relax together in the large dining area . Most of the bedrooms have en suite facilities.

The village includes a small grocery store, an excellent butchers, a cycle shop and cafe. There are also a couple of traditional pubs, both serving food. The cottages provide a good base for those wishing to explore the wonderful area of West Dorset and East Devon.  The popular Seaton Tramway, running along the beautiful Axe estuary, stops at Colyford providing the perfect way to sit back and discover the local area. For nature lovers, a few minutes walk away is an entrance to the Axe Estuary Wetlands Nature Reserve featuring many hides and viewing platforms.  For nature lovers, a few minutes walk away is an entrance to the Axe Estuary Wetlands Nature Reserve featuring many hides and viewing platforms. Walkers will be spoilt for choice with many wonderful inland footpaths nearby as well as the stunning   South West Coast Path running along this section of the Jurassic Coast.

Old Cider Press: Flat level access from the parking area to the patio garden.  Living room with 3 seater Leather sofas, wooden armchair and additional sofa.  50inch Smart TV and wood burner.  French doors to patio and outdoor seating area.  Open plan Kitchen and Dining area with built in oven and ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave.  Dining table and chairs to seat 10 guests if required.  Ground floor utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.  Stairs to Bedroom 1 with twin 3ft beds.  Bedroom 2 with 5ft double and TV.  Master Bedroom 3 with 5ft double bed, TV, Juliette Balcony with countryside views and Ensuite shower room with W.C. and washbasin.   Family bathroom with shower over bath, washbasin and W.C.

Hollie Cottage: (Semi-detached with Rose Cottage) Open-plan living area with sofa and TV/DVD, dining table and fitted kitchen area with electric oven & hob, fridge with icebox, dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer. Bedroom with a 5ft double bed and an en-suite shower room with power shower, WC and under floor heating. 

Rose Cottage: (Semi-detached with Hollie Cottage) Open-plan living area with sofa and TV/DVD, dining area and kitchen area with electric oven & hob, fridge with icebox, dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer.  A double bedroom with a King size 5ft bed and an en suite shower room with power shower, W.C. and under floor heating. 

All the cottages have an outside paved area with table and chairs and access to a shared garden area across the courtyard with garden furniture and a choice of a gas or coal Weber barbecue - available upon request. The owners also provide a secure bike storage shed.  A pet should be accompanied when in the shared garden.

Off road parking for multiple cars. Electric car charging point is now available onsite.

  • Included: Bed linen & towels included. (Please bring your own beach towels.)  Electric, heating. Wifi available. First basket of logs supplied for Old Cider press.  Travel cot, high chair and BBQ available upon request - please bring your own cot linen.
  • Pets: One well behaved small dog welcome in public areas of each property only (not bedrooms). Pet Charge: £30.00 per pet per week. Two maybe considered - please call the booking office.
  • Local Facilities: Shop & pub: 50 metres. Beach: Seaton 1.5 miles.
  • No smoking.
  • Electric cars: Some of the properties have access to an outside electric point for electric car charging. Guests are asked to bring their own adapters.
